Rugby League Fanfare
RUGBY LEAGUE FANFARE first appeared in April 1979. It was the monthly newsletter of the International Rugby League Supporters Federation (IRLSF). The organization was started by Rugby League enthusiast Bob Brown and there was a ‘sister’ organization in the United Kingdom.
The primary goals of the IRLSF were to promote the positive aspects of Rugby League and to promote Rugby League in the ‘minor’ states in Australia and most importantly, to promote the international game.
Back in 1979, only 5 nations were members of the International Rugby League Board as it was known back then. Now, there are more than 60 members of the re-named Rugby League International Federation. There has been a revolution in international Rugby League. AND, we want you to keep the revolution going.
Go to the ‘Join Us‘ page to join the revolution.
